Rick S. Fergerson, CPA, AIF® is the managing member and founder of Fergerson Financial LLC, an investment advisory firm.
Prior to Fergerson Financial LLC, Mr. Fergerson was with Franklin Templeton Investments for over ten years. He served as a senior vice president of Franklin Templeton Investor Services LLC and Franklin Distributors, Inc. focusing on all retirement related services. He was also a director/vice president in Franklin Templeton Companies, LLC focusing on the financial operations side of the business.
Mr. Fergerson is also a CPA and has ten years of public accounting experience, primarily with Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Deloitte Touche. He was also a controller for over two years with Aesculap Instruments, Inc.
Mr. Fergerson received his bachelor of arts degree in business economics with an emphasis in accounting from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1983. He earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1988 and earned his Personal Financial Specialist designation in 2010. He also earned the ACCREDIATED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ professional designation in 2005, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. He is a current member of the AICPA and Financial Planning Association. He also serves as a Board Member for El Dorado Arts Council. He is a former Board Member of the National Defined Contribution Council and Schwab Retirement Technology Group.
